About the Artist

Abstract painting rooted in emotion, texture, and the tension between control and surrender.

The Work

Every painting begins with a question — not an answer. I work in layers, building surfaces that hold memory and movement, where color pushes against form and the canvas becomes a record of decisions made and unmade.

My large abstracts are made to live with. They change in different light, at different hours. The smaller pieces carry the same intensity in a more intimate scale — studies in restraint, where a single mark can hold the weight of the whole.

I work primarily in oil and mixed media, drawn to the physical presence of paint — its thickness, its transparency, the way it dries into something permanent that still feels alive.

Process

01

Intuition first

Each piece starts without a plan. The first marks are instinctive — a color, a gesture, a direction.

02

Layers and time

I work in sessions over days or weeks, letting layers dry and react. The painting tells me when it's done.

03

Editing

The final stage is subtraction — removing what doesn't belong, finding the essential image underneath.
